Buying accident cars has traditionally been a painful process. From incomplete repairs to hidden issues, customers often face uncertainty and inflated dealer markups. Flaw Cars set out to change that experience, building a platform where every car is inspected, priced transparently, and offered with repair and drive options that customers can trust.
Timeline
The entire project was designed, developed, and launched in just 1 month. Within this short timeframe, Fallback Labs delivered a fully functional platform with:
Inspector, dealer, and admin portals
Smart VIN-based car uploads
Automated repair estimations and market pricing engine
Gamified customer journey with mobile onboarding
WhatsApp API integrations for login, notifications, and group distribution
By prioritizing automation and rapid iteration, the platform was live and ready for customers in weeks—not months.

The Challenge
When Flaw Cars approached this project, the market was full of roadblocks:
Dealers often listed cars with misleading claims about repairs.
Customers struggled to compare cars or understand true repair costs.
Platforms lacked automation, requiring manual dealer and admin intervention.
The flow from discovery to purchase was fragmented, leaving buyers confused.
Flaw Cars wanted to solve this by building a seamless digital journey: transparent car listings, gamified shortlisting, smart repair estimates, and an integrated ecosystem for dealers, inspectors, and customers.
Our Approach
1. Technology & Architecture
Gamified Shortlisting: Customers were encouraged to select at least two cars, using a floating shortlist bar that kept progress visible.
Instant VIN Integration: Inspectors could upload a car in under five minutes by simply entering the VIN. APIs pulled details like trim, specs, and even interior/exterior 360° views and engine videos.
Smart Repair Calculator: Damage was automatically assessed, generating a repair timeline and cost estimate without guesswork.
Market Price Engine: Live online searches compared similar vehicles to recommend fair, competitive pricing.

2. UI/UX & Design
Guided Flow: Customers moved step-by-step: Browse → Shortlist → Inspect → Repair.
Mobile Tutorial: First-time visitors were onboarded with a walkthrough that explained the process clearly.
Floating Shortlist Widget: A sticky, gamified bar ensured customers always saw their progress, making engagement natural.
SEO-Optimized Pages: Multiple targeted H1 headings across car categories improved discoverability.

3. Integrations & Ecosystem
Inspector Portal: Inspectors could log in, add cars, and create new dealers. Dealer logins were generated instantly and sent via WhatsApp.
Admin Automations: Once a listing was approved, it went live on the website and was automatically broadcasted to WhatsApp groups via API.
Customer Authentication: OTP logins used WhatsApp with SMS fallback, and each OTP also shared a group invite link.
Reservations System: Customers could reserve cars with deposits, while admins tracked confirmation, payment, and repair phases.

4. Collaboration & Delivery
Fallback Labs designed the system not as isolated features, but as an interconnected workflow: inspectors, dealers, admins, and customers all shared one ecosystem. This created efficiency and accountability across every step of the transaction.
